ENGL 356, Modern British Fiction, examines the literary movement known as modernism. The tentative list of authors we’ll be reading includes Joseph Conrad, E. M. Forster, Virginia Woolf, Katherine Mansfield, James Joyce, D. H. Lawrence, and Ford Madox Ford. Requirements include a midterm, a brief essay and a short research paper, and a final exam.
