In Introduction to Fiction Writing we will be examining the various elements of storytelling including (but not limited to) characterization, plot, tone, setting, and theme. We will be reading and workshopping student work, but will also look at examples of published work. This class will also be focused on the revision as well as the generative process of fiction writing. The course will provide the student with a solid foundation for further study of the writing craft.
