Title: WOMEN PROSE WRITERS

Section: 01

Semester: Fall - 2012

Credits: 3

Description:
This semester, we will read prose by women from the U.S. and abroad. The works are contemporary, and our reading will be guided by feminist literary theory. We will pay close attention to storytelling strategies and reflect on the ways in which the writers represent identities of gender, nation, sexuality, race and class, for example. Coursework consists of group provocations, in-class and Bb writing, class discussions, and three formal essays.
