Description:
We will explore the sonorous pleasures and discuss the imaginative tools of poetry. Students will become more sophisticated readers and listeners: metaphor, point of view, meter, rhyming - these are just a few of the aspects of poetic language that we will analyze. This course will help any student who finds poetry a bit intimidating, and for those students who already find much delight in poetry, this course will enrich your understanding of poetic craft.
