Prerequisite: ENWR106. This course reads the literature written by African American Women. We will read the works from socio-historical, cultural and Black Feminist perspectives. Significant attention is given to the unique strategies and structures distinguising an African American female aesthetic and critical tradition. Meets the World Languages and Culture Requirement -- World Cultures. 3 hours lecture.
