This course is designed to give students intermediate practice in writing poetry in an exciting workshop environment. We will explore writing poetry through a variety of traditions as well as learn some basics of prosody (the music of verse). We’ll discuss specific aspects of poetic craft such as diction, metaphor, stanza, and the line.
This class is an adventure in language!
