This course will explore international literature - with a focus on the exciting fiction and poetry of twentieth-century Latin America. (All the work will be in English translation.) Writers might include, for example: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Clarice Lispector, Pablo Neruda and Jorge Luis Borges.
