Description:
In this course we will examine how LGBTQ individuals have been written and have written themselves in a variety of contexts. We will read novels both by and depicting LGBT individuals as well as current news articles. In addition, a significant portion of the class will be devoted to analyzing online LGBTQ presence. We will explore how writing factors into issues of identity, representation, and activism.
