Professor Craft's biography: "I grew up in Indiana, and I received my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. My research focuses on British literature, with special interests in poetry and major authors. I have had a total of four articles accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and two of them are from my book project. My work has been most recently accepted for publication in Studies in Medieval and Renaissance History.

I received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) that allowed me to participate in the summer program called “Ritual and Ceremony from Late-Medieval Europe to Early America.” This experience enhanced my book project by helping to contextualize ideas about authenticity in literary representations of the East and West Indies. A Dolores Zohrab Liebman Fellowship provided three years of research support for this project.

I lived in Belgium for six months, where I learned to speak fluent French as a Rotary Exchange Student. I enjoy reading, traveling, exercising, movies, guitar, singing, and Italian food."
