Description:
We will read and discuss socially and politically engaged modern and contemporary literature from such parts of the world as Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The goal of this course is to use the novels to introduce us to some of the problems and questions which pose themselves both to persons in the colonized/imperialized world, and to those of us who live in the colonialist/imperialist world.
