Description:
This course offers students an introduction to the theory and practice of teaching writing to students in public schools (elementary, middle, and high). Students will explore all aspects of the writing process through the following activities: journaling, free-writing, drafting and revising analytical essays, peer review, and conferencing. Students will conduct research on writing issues, read foundational composition scholarship, respond to student writing, and experiment with approaches to teaching writing.
