COURSE IS ENTIRELY ON-LINE.

We will discuss the imaginative tools of poetry.

Students will become more sophisticated readers and listeners: metaphor, point of view, meter, rhyming - these are just a few of the aspects of poetic language that we will analyze. This course will help any student who finds poetry a bit intimidating, and for those students who already find much delight in poetry, this course will enrich your understanding of poetic craft.

Students will be evaluated through daily writing posts and two interpretive essays.
