Did you know only about 3% of all books published in the United States are in translation? When we read, we tend to read books about ourselves. It's time to branch out into the world!
This course is an imaginative passport to other geographies, other tongues, other cultures. Now more than ever, reading the literature of global voices is an urgent and deeply rewarding project.
Writers might include: Neruda, Schweblin, Marlon James, Lispector, Kincaid.
This course satisfies the F1 Great Works Gen Ed requirement.
