Section: 01
Semester: Spring - 2020

Description:
Students in The Irish Literary Revival will read Irish fairy legends, poetry, drama, short stories, and autobiography from the period when Irish writing was most inspired by national issues (c. 1890 - c. 1916). Synge's The Aran Islands, Lady Gregory's Visions and Beliefs in the West of Ireland, James Joyce's Dubliners, and autobiographies by two revolutionary women. Two writers from Ireland will visit our class and give lectures on their special interests.
