THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE

The Art of Poetry

In this course we will read British and American poets who contributed to, commented on, or kicked off revolutions of all kinds. Some of them will be British writers from the eighteenth and nineteenth century; others will be contemporary poets, writing in voices that feel familiar. Students will learn to identify poetic devices and work out how they shape our reading and analytical experiences.
