Description:
American fiction of approximately the last forty years (give or take) in the context of American culture and traditions. The course analyzes the characteristics of theme, technique, and sensibility which form the basis of a writer's response to the ambiguities of life in the contemporary world. Works studied might include Delillo, Naylor, Kingsolver, Roth, Didion, Pynchon, St. John Mandel, and McCarthy.
This class will be taught OFF SITE at Clifton High School.
