Description:
In this course, we will examine works of the late 20th and early 21st centuries from around the world. While we will look at a range of texts, including non-fiction prose, fiction, videos, and film, our approach will consider how these texts speak to key contemporary social issues such as globalization and environmentalism.

THIS FULLY ONLINE COURSE MEETS SYNCHRONOUSLY ON TUES AND ASYNCHRONOUSLY FOR THE OTHER 75 MIN OF CLASS EACH WEEK. FOR THE ASYNCHRONOUS COMPONENT, YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO ENGAGE IN CANVAS ACTIVITIES FOR 75 MIN OF CLASS EACH WEEK WITH DEADLINES TWICE A WEEK.

Tech requirements: a computer and webcam for the Zoom session.
