Course details
Name: ENGL - 300
Title: CRITICAL APPROACHES TO ENGLISH
Section: 02
Semester: Fall - 2022
Credits: 3
Description:
What do we read? Why do we read? And how do we read? This course will encourage students to think of the meanings of a text as ever-shifting; the meaning of a text depends on your approach, the questions you are interested in asking.
The readings have not yet been determined. Feel free to email Prof. Lorenz about the reading list during the summer. (Last time I taught this course, we read mythology, science fiction, contemporary poetry... so, no matter what, you should expect a rather eclectic mix of literary work. My version of this course also focuses on in-class writing, as well as writing on the discussion board.)
Schedule: Friday From 2:30 pm To 5:00 pm
