Name: ENGL - 354
Title: SHAKESPEARE: TRAGEDIES - ROMANCES
Section: 02
Semester: Fall - 2023
Credits: 3
Description:
An exploration of half a dozen or so of the most bizarre, complicated plays that Shakespeare wrote: tragedies that are built out of comic materials, comedies that refuse to end happily, and epic dramas of loss and recovery that seem incredulous of the very wish fulfillments they offer. Readings will include "Othello," "All's Well that End's Well," "Hamlet," "Macbeth," "The Winter's Tale," and one or two other plays.
