Description:
This course is ideal for students who want to understand the aesthetics, intricacies and enjoyment of reading poetry. We will explore the many ways poets utilize the tools of the craft to move and affect readers through the use of specific word choices, diction, metaphor, meter, rhyme, and enjambment. If you think poetry is intimidating, or if you already love and perhaps even write your own poetry, this course will both instruct and engage you.
