Can you Find the Wolves in the Picture? The Analytic Essay

Let’s crack the system and learn to read and write like an English pro! This class focuses on Native American Studies and introduces students to key conventions of reading, writing, and creative concept-making crucial to flourishing as an English undergraduate. We’ll look at short stories by Louis Erdrich and Sherman Alexie, yet the central text for class discussions will be David Grann’s Killers of the Flower Moon alongside Martin Scorsese’s forthcoming movie adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon with Lily Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, and Robert DeNiro (release date: October 2023).
