This course is an imaginative passport.

Now more than ever, reading the literature of global voices is an urgent (and deeply rewarding) project.

We'll be reading contemporary work from Brazil, Italy, Japan and Nigeria -- as well as international poetry.

Regarding evaluation, I should say that we'll be writing mostly "in-class" assignments.
