Description:
In this course we will read some novels and watch some films from around the world that will help us analyze the different meanings of "coming of age." Ranging from individual growth to societal and cultural reckonings with history, exploring tragedy and triumph, rebellion and resignation in the face of adversity, the literature we will read and discuss together will help us understand and empathize with others and ourselves.
