Job Description

The Psychology Department at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Quantitative Psychology, area open, to begin September 2019. Candidates are expected to teach quantitative methods courses in undergraduate and graduate MA and PhD programs, maintain an active research program with publications in top-quality journals and pursue external funding.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should have broad training in psychology and quantitative methods, demonstrated excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience and plans to pursue external funding. Area of specialization is open but should be well-developed and complement the department’s current specializations (I/O, Clinical, Developmental, Cognition, Social, Neuroscience, Health). Publications in methodological outlets are desirable. We are especially interested in applicants whose research and teaching incorporate advance quantitative analyses, for example, multivariate statistics, hierarchal linear modeling or structural equation modeling. PhD in psychology with a strong background in quantitative methodology is required. Post-doctoral experience is preferred. Experience with grant writing, and with successful grant applications is highly desired.
 

Salary Range

Commensurate with experience.
